Awards and nominations
We are proud of the products we make and the contribution we make to the design, appearance and construction of buildings. Our work is rewarded by various nominations and award-winning projects.
2015 – Dutch Concrete Award
With the production of unique double curved façade elements for the Arnhem Central Station, mbX won the concrete award for this project in 2015. The use of deformable moulds made it possible to clad the complex form in concrete and the use of concrete as cladding and visible element was appreciated by the jury.
2016 – European Concrete Award
mbX wins the European Concrete Award for the production of double curved façade elements for Arnhem Central.
2017 – Dutch Concrete Award
Farringdon Station in London was nominated for the concrete award in the category ‘execution’. The limited adjustment possibilities and tolerances during execution, the double curved elements and the great care that has been given to the individual elements themselves make this project special.
2019 – Concrete Award
Not one, but two projects were nominated for the concrete award. The branch structure of Lansingerland-Zoetermeer station was nominated in the category ‘civil engineering’ and the concrete spiral staircase in high-performance concrete was nominated in the category ‘housing construction’.
2019 – Cobouw Awards
With the flexible mould technique and smart engineering applied to the Mall of the Netherlands project in Leidschendam, mbX was nominated in the ‘Best Product’ category.
