mbX contributed 10,000 m2 of unique, double-curved prefab facade elements to the iconic Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam, the country’s largest shopping centre.The building’s twelve-metre-high cantilevered entrance serves as a striking eye-catcher.

In 2017, mbX was approached to collaborate as a facade specialist on the realisation of the largest and most impressive shopping centre in the Netherlands: Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam. The facade required high aesthetic and technical standards, achieved through 3D technology and our innovative techniques. The material, HPC (glass fibre-reinforced concrete), with its unique soft appearance, is a white concrete mix with titanium oxide. Another unique feature of the elements is their 4-centimetre thickness.
