In 2017, mbX produced 6,500 m2 of double-curved ceiling and facade panels for Farringdon Station in London, meeting high aesthetic and architectural standards.Due to stringent public safety requirements, mbX developed a concrete mix specifically for this project that passed a rigorous explosion test. Unique single and double-curved moulds were created to produce the desired elements.
The elements were manufactured with very tight tolerances and unique aggregates for a distinctive visual effect.
