mbX supplied the facade panels for the education building Aurora at Wageningen University.A unique feature of the building is the slanted facade elements. Made of high-performance concrete, the elements feature a relief with an abstract plant motif, giving the building a distinctive appearance. The concrete elements extend into the atrium, emphasising the important connection between indoors and outdoors while also providing shade on the facade to limit heat load in the building.
